Dear Penguins,

I hope you have all had a lovely weekend and had some fun with your family. This week we will be continuing our topic of Minibeasts and we will begin by reading some wonderful poems from a collection called 'Mad About Minibeasts' by Giles Andreae and David Wojtowycz. I would like you to write your own poem about a favourite minibeast and then use information books and the internet to research facts to make your own minibeast book. In Maths we will be revisiting halving and learning how halving is the opposite of doubling. We will also be trying hard to remember the names of different 3-D shapes and think about how the shapes are the same and how they are different. I have included a fun song for you to learn this week called 'If I were a minibeast' and there are some lovely ideas on how to encourage minibeasts to visit your garden. I hope you all have a fantastic week and have lots and lots of fun hunting for minibeasts! With love from, Miss Swift
