Hello there, Owls.
I hope you have had a lovely weekend and now that there is a little bit of lift from our lock down, you have been out and about and enjoyed the sunshine.
As you will all know by now, we are welcoming Year R, 1 and 6 back into Abbotts Ann Primary School starting with Year R as well as key worker children from tomorrow. I am very much looking forward to seeing the Year 6, some of whom will start back with us on Wednesday, but we will miss our Year 5's and I am keeping my fingers crossed that we might see you before the end of the Summer term.
Year 6, if you have an questions, queries or just comments about our return on Wednesday, please don't hesitate to email me or phone the school tomorrow. I will check my email later this evening and reply as soon as I can.
The key things to remember are:
* Return on Wednesday 3rd June between 8:40 am and 8:50 am.
*School Uniform with trainers.
* No school bag or equipment except a water bottle and packed lunch if you would like one.
* Please apply sun-cream before school where possible.
I have uploaded some home learning tasks for everyone! As always, please keep in touch using our email whether to ask a question, seek help, tell me something great you have been up to or just to tell me how you are! It's always lovely to hear from you.
Maths this week is looking at fractions and percentages (I knew you would like that.....) and moves on to negative numbers.
English involves all sorts of tasks based on a text including reading and answering questions, inferring meaning and word classes such as nouns, verbs, determiners, pronouns, conjunctions, prepositions, adverbs and adjectives :)
Maths this week involves learning about Pie Charts, range and the 'mean' of a set of numbers.
In English, you will be looking at informal and formal explanations, features of poetic language and writing poems. Please note, I had to upload day 3 as a separate document because it is really big!
Thinking of you all,
