Week beginning Monday 13th July 2020
Dear Dolphin's Class,
I hope that you have all had a lovely weekend with your families and enjoyed the beautiful sunshine. This will be the last home learning menu that I will be uploading before the summer holidays. I hope that you have enjoyed them and found the learning opportunities interesting and exciting.
Thank you so much Dolphin's Class for being such an wonderful class to teach this past year. I have truly loved teaching every single one of you and you have made my first year as a teacher a very special one indeed. I am immensely proud of the strength, resilience and bounce-back-ability you have demonstrated this year in the face of such adversity.
I wish all of the current Year 2 children the very best of luck for their exciting Year 3 adventure with Mrs Readman in Hedgehogs Class, you will be amazing! I am so excited to continue teaching the current Year 1 children when they return as Year 2's in September! Welcome also to the lovely Year R children who are joining Dolphin's Class from Penguin's Class as our new Year 1's, it will be so nice to get to know you all better and I am very excited to be your new teacher.
One of this weeks home learning features is about summer safety and I have found a useful website that has really helpful information and links about keeping our children safe over these glorious summer months. I have already shared with my family and friends and hope that you will also find it useful. There is also details of a summer holiday activity the children can enjoy if they so wish.
It has been lovely seeing so many of you back in school or popping in for a visit to say hello. We all have missed you so much and it's wonderful to have our school full of happy, cheery children once more. I wish all the children and families of Dolphin's Class and Abbott's Ann Church of England Primary School a happy, healthy and peaceful summer break.
With love from,
The children of Dolphin's Class have been busy last week practising their tie-dye skills! All of the dyes came from naturally occurring vegetable and fruit dyes. Here are some of them and the results are just fantastic! One of our lovely Y2 children was even inspired to write a set of accompanying instructions!!!
Excellent work Dolphin's
