Owls Y5/6

The Beginning of Owls' Adventure at Osmington Bay...

Our Year 5 and 6 children have been waved off along with Mrs Whittington, Mrs Elliman, Mrs Hands and Mrs Kestle today to begin their week long residential trip to Osmington Bay, Dorset. They were all extremely excited and keen to get going and we know they will have a super week trying out lots of new activities. The sun is shining for them as they start their adventure. Have a wonderful time, Owls Class.

Check here each day for an update on the day's activities and to see photos of Owls in action.

DAY 2

We are having a fantastic time at Osmington Bay. We are thoroughly enjoying the meals- the bacon and eggs went down very well this morning! We have had a fun filled day - Jacob's Ladder and Street Surfing were a hit with all! Tonight we had 'Ambush' which everyone loved - great excitement! Look out for further updates on the website...

DAY 3

Another fantastic day had by all! It has been gloriously sunny all day, which has made our day even brighter. We have played aeroball, been underground exploring the tunnels, and have found ourselves 'stranded' on a desert island having to 'fend for ourselves'. In the evening we all came together and played Robot Wars which provided lots of laughs and fun.

Day 4

The most anticipated day of the week finally arrived for our adventurous Owls! The day was full of the most exhilarating and nerve-testing activities of the week. We flew high through the sky on the zip wire and the giant swing before climbing the rock-faced climbing wall.

Our evening was spent participating in 'Wacky Races'- I'm not sure who found this more entertaining; the children or the adults!

The children have been amazing and worked hard to overcome fears and push themselves (and their expectations of themselves) to the limit! We are super proud of them all!

Day 5

Our final day in Osmington Bay. We have had an amazing time but are very excited to return home to see our families.

Today we took a coach trip to Portland for raft building. We worked in three teams to build our rafts and we then tested them in the sea. We played some fun games and came away very wet (but very happy)!

What a great way to end an exciting week.
